Family Program

City of Angels NJ, Inc. Family Program

The COA Family Program is a non-denominational program designed to help families of those afflicted with addiction learn how to help their loved one. This program represents the latest information in the study of the disease of addiction and covers:

  • Typical reactions of family members
  • How family members can help their addicted loved one
  • Treatment for addiction – what works, what doesn’t work
  • How family members can restore peace at home
  • Community resources
  • Questions and answers
  • What is addiction and common traits of addiction sufferers

The program will include a workbook, role-play and classroom instruction. It is completely free of charge, and will enroll up to 10 participants in each class. However, this is a closed session, meaning that participation is limited to families and close friends of addicts (sorry, no addicts).

The program is run in two parts, Part I each Tuesday night and Part II each Wednesday night. Both parts are offered at the Dwier Center in Hamilton, NJ and now also offered at our local chapters.
